Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at resurrectioniron@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Most of our inventory is New Old Stock (NOS) — original Harley-Davidson OEM parts that were never installed, many still in factory packaging. Due to their age, some may show minor shelf wear, but they are unused and authentic. There are some of our parts that are in open packages or that are used. However, you can ALWAYS expect to find a full description that explains everything about the part in our listings. And, if you still have questions, please reach out to us before purchasing so that we can help.

NOS stands for New Old Stock — parts that were manufactured decades ago by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), intended for dealership inventory or showroom stock, but were never sold, installed, or used. These parts have typically been stored in sealed boxes or original packaging since the time they were produced.

They are not reproductions.
They are not remanufactured.
They are not aftermarket.
They are the real deal.

At Resurrection Iron & Parts, the vast majority of our inventory is genuine OEM Harley-Davidson—meaning it was produced by or for Harley-Davidson under factory specifications. These parts were originally distributed to authorized dealerships, including our family’s own shop, Coastal Harley-Davidson.

We also carry a very limited selection of vintage aftermarket and custom parts, primarily from the same era. When an item is not OEM, it will always be clearly labeled as such in the product description. We are committed to accuracy, transparency, and helping you know exactly what you’re getting.

While our parts are unused, they are vintage, and in many cases, decades old. That means we cannot guarantee the performance or integrity of materials such as rubber seals, gaskets, wiring, electronics, or adhesives, even if the part is still in its original packaging.

ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS-IS.
This applies to every single part we sell, without exception.

There will be absolutely no returns, no warranties, and no guarantees. Once an item leaves our possession, the sale is final. These parts are rare, often irreplaceable, and sold exactly as described and shown in the listing. We do not offer refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.

We take great care in photographing and describing each part as accurately as possible. We will ship exactly what is shown.

Our reputation in this business stands on decades of knowledge, integrity, and respect within the motorcycle community. That reputation is excellent — and we intend to keep it that way.

Because this is a one-woman operation! My name is Marlaina Abbott-Johnson, and I’m the founder of Resurrection Iron & Parts. I’m personally unboxing, sorting, cataloging, photographing, researching, and listing every single part from what is easily one of the largest untouched collections of vintage OEM Harley-Davidson parts still in private hands.

This business was created to preserve my family's legacy—not just sell parts. And while the inventory is massive, I’m working through it one box at a time with the care and accuracy it deserves. Thanks for your patience as I bring decades of Harley history back into the light.

No. No. And again — NO. Please do not contact my father under any circumstances.

Billy Abbott is retired and is no longer involved in any aspect of selling motorcycle parts.

All communication and transactions must go through me, Marlaina Abbott-Johnson, the sole owner and operator of Resurrection Iron & Parts.

Please respect his privacy. He gave decades to the motorcycle community, and now it’s time for him to rest and enjoy his well-earned retirement.

You will occasionally see special posts about my family — and specifically my father — on our Facebook and TikTok pages. If you’re curious how they’re doing, follow us there.

If you’re trying to track down a part or have questions, please use the contact form on this site or email resurrectioniron@gmail.com.
I’m happy to help.

We primarily ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking, though UPS may be used at our discretion depending on the item’s size, weight, or destination. Most orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days, though during high-volume periods, please allow additional time as each order is carefully packed by hand.

Once a package leaves our possession, delivery timelines and handling are solely the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We have no control over delays, reroutes, or missed deliveries.

If you would like to add signature confirmation or additional insurance coverage, you must notify us at the time of purchase. These services are available by request, and additional fees may apply.

In the event of a lost, delayed, or damaged package, it is the buyer’s responsibility to initiate and file a claim directly with the carrier. We will gladly provide any documentation needed to support your claim, but we are not liable for packages once they are in transit.

We currently ship to U.S. addresses only. If you're outside the U.S. and see something you need, reach out—we may be able to make exceptions. But no promises!

Yes — there’s a good chance we have it. Please email resurrectioniron@gmail.com with your request and any part numbers, fitment info, or model details you can provide.

Please remember: This is a one-woman operation managing a massive volume of vintage inventory. Every part request requires time to search, identify, and verify. Your patience is greatly appreciated while I work through crates of untouched OEM stock to help you find what you need.

If it’s out there, I’ll do my best to find it — but it won’t happen overnight.
Thank you for respecting the process and the effort behind preserving these legendary pieces of motorcycle history.

We provide as much information as possible for every part we list — including OEM numbers, known fitment ranges, and detailed photos. However, due to the age and variability of many of these items, we cannot and do not guarantee fitment under any circumstances.

Any details we do have will be clearly listed in the description, but it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to determine if the part is correct for their application.

Many Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been customized, swapped, or modified multiple times over the years. That’s part of what makes Harley culture so unique — but it also means that fitment can’t always be predicted from part numbers alone.

We’re always happy to share what we know, but ultimately, you know your build better than we do. If you’re in doubt, feel free to reach out — but understand that we cannot make any fitment guarantees, implied or otherwise.

She’s both — and then some.

Fancy is our official parts dog, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever who rides shotgun through every dusty box, every parts pull, every shipping day, and every late-night inventory sort. She’s loyal, sharp-eyed, and always on duty — just like the Dobermans who stood guard at Coastal Harley-Davidson decades ago.

But she’s also the heart of our social media. Whether she’s posing beside Panhead parts or stealing the spotlight in TikToks, Fancy has become a fan favorite — and she knows it.

She shares her home with a small crew of dachshunds and has “cousins” — a white corgi and a Jack Russell — who belong to my parents and my brother. Together, as a pack, they carry on a long-standing family tradition: dogs at our side, through every chapter.

Dogs have always been part of our family and our story.
They’ve kept watch, kept us grounded, and kept us laughing through every season of this legacy.

At Resurrection Iron & Parts, we know this to be true:
Some of the most important legacies have fur.
